On Friday, January 9, 2004, a retirement party was
held at the Robins Office for John Edgerton, better known as
“Peachy” to his fellow employees at Wendling Quarries, Inc. He
officially retired at the end of the workday on December 24, 2003,
after 17 years in the quarry business. Peachy worked out of the
Robins Maintenance Shop, and will be greatly missed there.
The party was attended by approximately 35 of his
co-workers, family and friends. He was awarded a gold engraved
watch by Tony Manatt at this party in appreciation of his years of
service to the company.
