Friday August 1, we purchased R-Way Concrete of Adel from
Dennis Richards. This purchase includes a ready mix plant,
shop and office and 7 concrete trucks. We also have 7 R-Way
employees who have stayed on with us. Don Wilson, who has
worked at R-Way since 1979 will be our plant manager in
Adel.
We will operate this plant as part of the Metro Division and will be changing the name to Manatts. With the addition of these 7 trucks, we now have 50 concrete trucks in the Des Moines area. This acquisition will be a great addition for Manatts, expanding our market area further west and also allow us to better serve the growing western suburbs of the metro area. |
