Recently
Manatts completed a highway concrete paving job here in the
northeast corner of Lee County, Iowa.
The
purpose of this letter is to congratulate you on the
performance of the Manatts employees. Without exception, all
of them were polite, attentive, competent and carried out
what they agreed to do.
Selection
and training are important to employee attitude and
performance, but equally important is leadership. Thus the
reason to congratulate you on the performance of this crew!

In a recent letter to Mike . . .
Dear
Mike Manatt,
My
name is Mike Reed. I live near the small town of Owasa just
off the Hwy 20 project your company just finished. About 3
years ago, a tall lanky dark haired man in a red Tahoe
stopped at my farm looking for a place to park a few dump
trucks. That was the first time I met anyone from your
company.
I
want you to know it was a pleasure from that point on.
I
can’t believe that all the people I met were courteous,
accommodating, and just plain damn nice folks. For a company
as large as yours that says a lot. I take my hat off to you
and all of the men I met.
There
is not a scar on my farmstead from the dump trucks, concrete
haulers, cement tankers, flowboys, trucks and pups, service
trucks, water trucks, and anything else that said Manatts on
it. I can’t thank them all by name but there are two I
want to mention, John Beaderstadt and James Weiermann. These
guys made it happen.
Thank
you Manatts,
Michael D. Reed |
