| The
Sand Plant moved from Tama to Independence last spring in
the April snow storm. James Weiermann actually got stuck in
our Indy driveway!
The
middle of June found Milt Dakovich from Aspro calling to see
when we could be in Waterloo. Keep in mind, it takes two
weeks to move all the necessary equipment. When Milt called,
he said, "I only have about two weeks supply of sand on
hand!", so we picked up our equipment and moved 21
loads of equipment from Independence and 4 loads from Tama
for a total of 25 loads which was mostly taken apart and
hauled on low boys.
I
would like to mention Porky, Chuck, Mark Olson and Frank as
some excellent help! Not only do they drive, but help load,
pull wrenches, etc., which makes my job a lot easier.
Rodney
and Ron, with the service truck, seemed to step in where
ever needed as well!
The
team of Carl Iezek, Mike Naber and Tom Donovan provided a
lot of the expertise needed to make this a quick move.
Despite
the rains and hot July temperatures, we moved in 7 days
which is excellent considering we unbolted and loaded most
of it on trailers.
We
will produce at Aspro until November of this year then pick
up, repair and set up at Tama.
To
all, I say thanks for all the hard work and hustling around!
