2001 Golf Outing
Gene Manatt
Our 2001 outing was played on October 6th. The weather was great but could have been much colder that time of year. Maybe we should have our outing earlier next year .

I will discuss that thought with Mike during the winter. We had a decent turn out this year, as we used the Westwood course in Newton to have 18 holes to play on.

One hundred twenty-one players participated in the outing. We asked a few vendors to join us to get numbers up and they responded well. We had four teams of vendors who played along with teams from our sister companies. Actually, one of the sister companies (Wendling Quarries) had the low score of 62 strokes. Congratulations to that foursome!

We have a plaque with their names on it and a picture of the winning team at the Brooklyn office. There are also a couple of albums floating around the office of pictures taken during the day while on the course. Some are good and some are questionable. If you want to see the scores, you can find them on our website (www.manatts.com).

I am looking forward to having another outing in 2002. It will probably be at the same course. I believe everyone had a good time.

Let’s get a little bigger turnout next year. We would like to get 144 players to join us for the next outing. Watch the Spring Mirror for more information.
