This letter is to commend your employee, Joyce, who is based at the Wendling Quarry.

Unfortunately, there was a motorist fatality on Highway 30 near Traer last week alongside our paving spread. The day of the accident and the following day, Joyce went above and beyond to be of assistance to our people and me as we were trying to stay in close communication with our home office and with medical and insurance personnel surrounding the accident. Since we had limited range on our cellular phones, we used the quarry's office phone extensively with our company calling cards, including a confidential conference call to a medical professional dealing with blood borne pathogen issues with our exposed employees.

At all times, Joyce was friendly, helpful and professional in her duties and in dealing with us during the strain surrounding the accident. (Coincidentally, it was through Joyce that I was able to learn even more information about the victims of the accident as they were local people she was acquainted with,)
