It only takes a minute to sign-up for the ride that saves babies!

On Saturday morning, September 22,2001,the 3rd ANNUAL MARCH OF DIMES RIDE AND OBSERVATION POKER RUN took place. 175 motorcycles left Metro Harley in Cedar Rapids between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Our first stop was in Center Point and then on to Anamosa to the Motor Cycle Museum And Hall Of Fame. Our third stop was in Sutliff and then on to Mt. Vernon. Our final destination was to Borrowed Bucks in Cedar Rapids.

Borrowed Bucks hosted a luncheon at 3:00 p.m., and then prizes were awarded for the best poker hands and the most individual money raised.

We had perfect weather for the 135-mile ride. There were only 50 motorcycles last year, so this year's 175 was a big improvement. The group raised over $12000.00 this year, compared to $5000.00 last year.

Everyone had a great time. A special thanks this year to Tony and Wendling Quarries for being a corporate sponsor. Anyone interested in riding next year, please contact Kacey Downs or myself at 319-247-5643.
