 David Schau It has been an up and down year. Certainly different than the last few years. In June of this year, Tim McPherson and his crushing crew went to the Plower Quarry to produce asphalt stone for Norris Asphalt. Everybody on Tim’s crew got an education on where the Q.C. spends their time when producing AC Stone. Steve Fisher and crew went to Garrison Quarry in July to produce AC Stone for Manatts. Steve and his crew have had the pleasure to produce AC Stone the last 3 if not 4 years at Garrison for Manatts. So they are pros at it by now!! Dave Kagamann and crew came to Behr in April to make AC Stone for Determann’s. Oats (Pat) Trenkamp came back to Behr to produce more AC Stone for Determann’s because there year was better than they expected. Shawn Skladzien, Russell Heinsius, and Scotty Bormann were also busy keeping up with the demands of our larger quarries. The Quality Control Department took on the QMA testing for Determann’s, Clinton County project. It was very interesting for us to do something out of the norm and still keep up with our normal job duties. At this time I would like to thank Kenny Loughren, Kyle Gottschalk, and Rich Cheney the 3 men that work under me for a Great job done this year. Also, I would like to thank ALL of the crushing superintendents for working with us and making these jobs go very smoothly. It means a lot to me and to Steve Y. and Tony M. also, when a contractor said the job went very well, with no problems and they look forward to using us again in the future. Within the Manatt organization and subsidiaries there is a library full of knowledge. I would like to thank everybody for allowing us to borrow equipment , pick their brains, and share stories to help get the QC department where it is today.
