Well, it just doesn't seem possible that we have had our last production meeting for the year of 2003.  It seems like we just started the season.  We finished, production-wise, very close to the forecasted tons estimated in October of last year.  The new forecast is up a little from the last two years.  That's always a good note.

At this point, it looks like we will be giving Bowser a lot of attention in 2004, both in equipment and production needs.  There will be a new conveyor system built and installed through out the year and a new wash plant to be built and installed by spring.

I would like to take this time to thank everyone for the successful year of 2003, as it is about to be history, and welcome the new 2004-year that, hopefully, will be safer and even more successful.

Last year we really put the pressure and emphasis on safety.  I think it took our safety to the next level and everyone needs to take pride in that.  We all know what is happening to our own Insurance premiums.  You can imagine what that could do to a company the size of Wendling if we didn't have a good safety record.  We started last year with a new culture: SAFETY, QUALITY, and then PRODUCTION.  Well, we will end this year with that culture and will be the same culture in the year 2004.
