New CEO to
Welcome |

Officials at Adventureland
Park announced today that a new CEO has been named for the
Park. Garfield was
promoted to the position of CEO (Cat Executive Officer)
effective immediately. The move is intended to add even more fun and relaxation to
the Jack Krantz, owner of Adventureland, said that he is very
pleased with the appointment, and can see a number of positive
changes that will occur right away. Garfield’s first executive order established extended
lunch breaks for all employees followed by mandatory naps.
Industry sources indicate that Garfield’s appointment to
the position is very timely, and will add considerable character
to the park. One source was quick to note that Garfield has been called
fat, lazy, greedy, arrogant and selfish…and that’s by the
people who like him. In addition to his administrative duties, Garfield will be on hand to greet guests at Adventureland three times a day during the 2001 season. His long time friend and sidekick Odie will assist him in the park. The
Manatt Day at Adventureland has been planned for July 29th
this year. The
Festival Grounds close to the Palace Theater has been reserved
for our enjoyment from park opening until 7:00 PM. Lunch
will be served in the Palace Theater from Noon until 1:15 PM.
Seating will be in both the Palace Theater & the
Festival Grounds. (If
you have large groups with you that are not
immediate family members, please have them sit in the
Festival Grounds.) Refreshments
will be available starting at NOON!
We will again have a program featuring our employee
talent. If you have a hidden talent (or not so hidden), please join
in the fun by performing for us during this time.

Children with talents, groups, or soloists in all areas
are encouraged to participate! Tickets
for employees and their immediate family members will be $5.00
per person, which includes entrance to the park, the meal and
refreshments. (IMMEDIATE
FAMILY INCLUDES SPOUSES AND DEPENDENT CHILDREN.) If you are a single employee with no dependents, you are
still allowed one guest at the $5.00 price.
We
do have tickets for non-immediate family available at a
