Welcomes New Safety Director |
|
As most of you
know, we lost another safety director this spring when Jake went
to Illowa. Prior to Jake
serving in that position, Ken Beck was safety director for a
little over a year. Well
now that those two wussies are gone, we welcome our new safety
director, Burt Ostert. Burt and his
wife Marge came to us from West Union where Burt was the safety
director for Croell Ready-Mix and Marge was the manager of the
Land’s End plant. Burt has been a
safety professional for about 8 ½ years, also serving as an EMT
in West Union. He and Marge
have 3 grown daughters with the youngest recently graduating
college. Please welcome
Burt and Marge into the Manatt family and help him take our
safety program to the next level.
His primary
concern is to help you work safely.
He will be visiting the work sites this season and will
be making suggestions regarding ways to improve our safety
program. The safety
department will be sending a Safety Alert through payroll
periodically to advise employees of current problems involving
accidents. This
newsletter will also include the list of safety drawing winners.
Please
remember, when safety checks are being delivered, you will not
receive yours if you are in violation of a safety policy at the
time of the attempted delivery.
