We got a small start for the year in an
alley at Grinnell State Bank on April 16. We had to remove
the old PCC paving in between the old brick buildings
(carefully). Much of the work was done by hand and was replaced
with new PC, approximately 200 yards total.
The job turned out really well and was a
nice improvement. It was a good way to break in all the guys
after a long cold winter. (Jim
and crew were made famous in the Grinnell paper with this
project, unfortunately, due to technical problems; we couldn’t
get the pictures in!)
The guys also worked on a new 400' street
addition at St. Francis Manor and moved on to Mike Manatt's new
drive in Brooklyn (see pictures below of those PCC Paving guys
hard at work).
