Wendling Quarries Purchases Properties of |

Wendling
Quarries purchased the properties of B.L. Anderson, Farms and
Inc. in March.
This
acquisition is an important step for our company and is a strong
long-term commitment to our employees and our place in this
industry. Wendling began
leasing the properties of B.L. Anderson in April of 1995 when we
purchased Vulcan Materials rights.
As early as 1996 discussions regarding various properties
started and a strong focus on purchasing the entire real estate
holdings was begun late in 1999.
The process continued through 2000 and we closed on the
deal in March of 2001. Sites
like Garrison, Robins, Montour and Wyoming were a part of this
transaction. Seldom does the
opportunity present itself for a company like ours to make such
a strong commitment to the future as happened with the
acquisition of the Anderson Properties.
We should all be truly proud of where we have taken this
business since April of 1995 and take heart in our continuing
investment in the future.
