| L.L. Pelling Co.
held a family picnic at the North Liberty office/shop
location on Sunday, August 22 to honor their employees.
Carnival games were run by the Johnson County 4-H Clubs.
After Chuck Finnegan, President, acknowledged all
past and present employees for their years of service
and dedication to the company, Brett Finnegan, Vice
President, recognized 24 individuals for 5 Year Awards,
15 for 10 Year Awards, 10 for 15 Year Awards, 10 for 20
Year Awards, 3 for 25 Year Awards, and 4 for 30 Year
Awards. Special recognition went to George Synacek,
Vince Finnegan, Roland Mathes, and Ken Harrison for 35
Years of dedication to the company. Lee Johnson was
hired 40 years ago by Dean Hershberger, Vice President
at the time, when the office was located downtown Iowa
City. Gerry Gaffey was hired 47 years ago by Lloyd
Pelling, Sr. to work in the Coralville Oil Plant.
