    This was Wendling Quarries’ 10^th Annual Bowling Outing.  May City Lanes in Cedar Rapids was the place Sat., Feb. 26, 2005, and bowling was the game.  We had our largest attendance yet, with 78 bowlers.  Co-workers, spouses and friends all had a great time.

     Wendling Quarries treated all the bowlers this year with a nice long-sleeved t-shirt to celebrate the 10^th anniversary of this outing.  Thanks to Tony Manatt and WQI for the shirts and for making the 10^th year of this outing possible.

     A huge thanks to Tracia Anderson for her work in designing the t-shirts.  They were a huge success.  Thanks also to Emily Delaney for her help in ordering the shirts and getting them to us in time for the outing.

     Thanks, as always, to Kathy Keating for her help in the preparation for the outing, and all others who helped in collecting the door prizes.

     We had new champions this year:  the team of Tim and Jean McPherson, Dave Meyer, and Pete Caspers took 1^st place honors.  Second place went to the team of  Laura Dudek, Neal Denny, Marion Campbell, and Jeri Smalley.  The third-place team was Ron and Joyce Paulsen and Marilyn and Larry Schau.

     There was a tight competition among the men’s results for the entire series.  Following are some of the high scores for individual games and series:

     Following the bowling, we gathered for an award ceremony, where pizza was served

and the trophy and awards were given.  A drawing was held for door prizes, also.

     Thanks again to WQI and Tony Manatt for everything, and we will be looking forward to bowling again next year.
