For those of you who attended the safety meeting last winter, you were shown how the changes to digital cell phones would save the company money each year. We are currently phasing out the analog phones as quickly as we can. However, not all units will have the hands free car kits installed right away. Another way we are trying to save the company money is by handling all installation tasks in house rather than out source it to a third party. I would like to thank Dave Distler and Kevin Sorenson for their work on installations this year. For those who have seen their work, you would agree the professionalism that has been done far exceeds what has been done previously.

The goal is, by the end of this year to have all analog phones phased out. I am also looking into what is involved to receive cell phone calls in the office area of our building where we are not currently able to receive a signal. Cell to cell phone calls will cut the costs of the phone bill tremendously.

Anyone in need of any equipment or parts for the phones or radios can contact me either in the office or on my cell phone. Also Sally Slaven has been shown where everything is kept and can also get any parts that are needed if I am unavailable. While out in the field, I will have some high usage parts with me if they are needed.
