Here it is, time to start a new construction season. It looks like we are going to have enough work to keep us busy this season. We
are starting the year in Guthrie County. As of now, we are out
milling the job and should start widening around April 21st.
Widening should take 6 or 7 days. The job then gets a 2”
intermediate lift and The next job on the list is Hamilton County. This job is made up of 7 jobs throughout the county. This job is 40,000 Tons. I think we will then go to Poweshiek County and do Hwy. 85. This job is a cold-in-place recycle and hot mix overlay. This job is 27,000 Ton running from Montezuma to Deep River (home of the Armstrong clan). After Hwy. 85, we still have work in Worth County at 35,000 Ton, Franklin County at 20,000 Ton and Benton County at 21,000 Ton. I am not sure on the order, but I am pretty sure Benton will be the last job of the year. This should be plenty of work to keep the portable crew running hard all season. I am looking forward to everyone getting back to work. I hope that we have a safe season and we make a dollar or two during the year.
