Well, it looks like we’re ready to kick off another year! Trucks and equipment are leaving the yards daily. It sounds like the work load is pretty slim to start off the year, but hopefully it will pick up and we’ll have another good year for all of us! In 2003, we have updated our fleet of trucks with new Sterling Dump Trucks and Mack Mixers. Our fleet of trucks are some of the best looking on the roads and job sites around. With help from all of you, we’d like to keep them looking that way. This year again, all drivers are to turn in their tire inspection reports weekly with cold air pressures before you air them up. This tells us whether or not a tire needs repair. Also, we need rip-rap trucks, water trucks, oil distribution trucks, & other misc. trucks checked weekly as well! HINT: If at all possible, it works best to check them on Monday mornings after the unit has sat over the weekend. If you have a tire problem, write it on the inspection report and let your supervisor know so we can get it fixed ASAP. As stated over and over at the spring meetings, our insurance and safety issues are a #1 priority this year. We need everyone to be working and driving with this in mind AT ALL TIMES! Well, from the tire shop guys, have a great year! |
