Well, I am looking out my window and it’s snowing, only 2 days ago I was riding my motorcycle around town checking on customers. It must be spring in Iowa.

Here at United we had an unusual winter; in January we still had a full crew working and were getting many projects completed like the new Lowes store in Waterloo. It seemed like Mother Nature was cooperating because once we had the floor done at Lowes it turned cold and we went into our normal winter schedule.

Marty, Brian and Tracy have been busy at our Hwy 63 location painting trucks and getting the fleet ready for another season. Great job on the paint, guys; nobody I know does it better.

At our BMC plant the crew has been busy cleaning and trying to keep their trucks running during those cold February/March days.

As far as our workload this year, I am pretty optimistic about it.

Housing in the area should remain strong. We are starting out with work at the new Super Wal-Mart in Cedar Falls, and if Larry can keep his pencil sharp we’ll have plenty to do this year.
