Dale and the guys have been
working at a steady pace since April. Haven’t
had to push real hard and they seem to just get
the work done that I have been able to put in
front of them. The Jasper County bike trail is
now complete.
The City of Victor was quite a
challenge but it is done and behind us. We have
done several little jobs for Jasper County and
are just starting the 35,000 Ton job down on
each side of Monroe.
The New (used) Asphalt plant is
up and running but we have not given it the big
test yet. We still have a 5000 Ton job with
Jasper County up in the Northwest corner of the
county and I am hearing rumors that they are
trying to push another crack & seat job down
South of Galesburg, IA.
Also August 17 is the letting
date for the subdivision-paving project that
involves 15 different locations spread all over
the county. This project involves about 34,000
Ton of Asphalt, 7,000 LF of pipe work, Fly-Ash,
trimming etc. If we can land this project it
will keep the crew busy with work to the end of
this year and at least 2 or 3 months into next
year. This has never happened before during the
time that I have been an estimator.
Love that Jasper County
We still have approx 12,000 Ton
to do for the concrete side of the house down at
Montezuma. All in all the year is shaping up and
the crew should be pretty busy. |
