Congratulations to Perry Keating on being honored as Linn County Employee of the year. He received this award from the County Board of Supervisors for “promoting customer service, competence, helpfulness, and responsiveness to others.” Perry is the husband of Kathy Keating who works in the Robins office. Great job, Perry!

Russell Heinsuis reports . . .

The Olin 5th & 6th grade boys baseball team was sponsored by WQI in 2003.  In league play, they went 7-1 in the regular season.

They went into tournament play with the #1 seed. They lost to a Mt. Vernon team, which won the tournament. The boys came back and won the consolation game. They were awarded 3rd place trophies.

In our league there were 4 teams from Mt.Vernon,3 teams from Anamosa, 1 from Olin, and 1 from Lisbon. My oldest boy Josh was a 5th grader. He was a pitcher and third baseman. He also batted 2nd in the lineup. I am very proud of him!
