Since January 1, 1972, John Manatt (#12)
has worked at Manatts, Inc. full time. He has
done it all, from sweeping floors, to driving
cement tankers and concrete trucks, to running
concrete plants, and eventually to heading up
our ready mix division and purchasing the
company with Brad, Tim, Mike and Tony in the
early 90’s.
1972 to 2006 have proven to be rewarding with
the growth of Manatts, Inc., both in
|
the ready mix division and the company as a
whole. This growth is directly attributed
not only to the first generation of men behind
its success, but also to the second generation
of men who took the reins and had the foresight
to continue on with determination, that, which
those before them, had started. We thank
John for being one of those five who, by their
collaboration, have built an organization to be
proud of and a
respected standing in the industry carried on
from their fathers and uncles before them.

We wish for John many happy days in his
retirement; ones filled with golfing, jeeping,
and traveling. Enjoy your grandchildren and
mowing the lawn! Like most retired individuals,
life will be just as busy as if you were working
fulltime. We just hope that you don’t forget to
stop and see us on occasion.
