Entering the Final "Push"
Mike Manatt

The season is in full swing and it seems this is the time of year tempers start to flare due to the long, hot, summer hours.  People become frustrated and threaten to quit.  Some actually do!

We had a very slow and wet spring and now we are trying to cram a full season into a short time.  When this happens some people start to take shortcuts, not working as safe or not caring about quality.  We need to be cognizant of these factors.

When things get heated and start to go bad, slow down and think what is going on.  Try to remain calm and let cooler heads prevail.  It seems we have this period every season and then things straighten out as we prepare for the final push to end the year.

Please remember, safety first, then quality and then production.  Also zero redos and no punch list.  Let’s have a safe and enjoyable rest of the season!
