Stay Out – Stay Alive Campaign

This is a follow up to last month’s Manatts Mirror article regarding Wendling’s participation in the S.O.S.A. program. A letter was sent to us from Clinton County Attorney, Mike Wolf that reads, in part, 

“As your county attorney, I congratulate you on your accomplishments and appreciate the article and picture in the paper (the Clinton Herald). Thank you for making Clinton County a great place to live…”

Congratulations to the Safety Department and to all of you who help to make the community in which you operate a safer place. Keep up the good work!

Miss Teen Iowa

 Congratulations to Claire Dirks on her showing in the Miss Teen Iowa competition earlier this year. She was first runner up in the pageant and also came away with the titles of Miss Photogenic and Miss Sportswear. Claire is the daughter of Harvey (Loader Operator, Robins Quarry) and Kathy Dirks. To do well in this pageant, she had to be more than just a pretty face. Some of the factors involved were grade point average, a resume of extracurricular and volunteer activities, a special skill or talent and general poise and projection of her personality. This is an accomplishment the whole family can be proud of.
